Claude Code

One CLI command. Wires the config and restart for you. Needs an API key. Grab one in the dashboard.

Claude.ai (web + mobile + desktop)

Paste Tickerbot’s MCP URL as a custom connector. OAuth handles the rest. Install once on web or desktop. Mobile inherits the connector automatically.

Show install steps

1. claude.ai (web or desktop) → Customize → Connectors.
2. + Add custom connector. Name it "Tickerbot." Paste https://api.tickerbot.io/mcp as the URL. Save. Refresh and allow tools.
3. Open any chat. Ask something like “What’s NVDA’s RSI right now?” — Claude detects the auth requirement and prompts you to connect.
4. Sign in to tickerbot.io if asked, then click Allow on the consent screen.
5. Done. Ask Claude anything that needs market data; it routes through Tickerbot automatically. The connector follows your account, so it’s available in the mobile app too.

ChatGPT Custom App

Add Tickerbot as a Custom App in ChatGPT. OAuth handles the rest.

Show install steps

1. chatgpt.com → Settings → Apps → scroll to Advanced → toggle Developer mode on.
2. Back in Settings → Apps, click Create app.
3. Name it "Tickerbot." Set Connection to Server URL, paste https://api.tickerbot.io/mcp. Leave Authentication on OAuth.
4. Check "I understand and want to continue." Click Create. ChatGPT walks you through the OAuth and consent screen.
5. In any chat: click + in the composer → enable Tickerbot for the conversation. Ask away.
